On Friday, March 17th, 1989, in a suburb of Philadelphia, Tom Curtis Jr. entered the Universe. Fast forward 14 years, following the pursuit of different passions such as dinosaurs, tornadoes, snakes, and professional skateboarding, he found himself curious of the music realm and began to teach himself how to sing and play guitar in the summer of 2003. A year later, he would learn how to voice his feelings and ideas through lyrical output and his original song journey was born. This passion took flight quickly and the hard work would envelop into countless gigs performed around the Mid-Atlantic Region, as well as, SXSW in Austin, Denver, Nashville, New York, and more. Wanting nothing more than to turn this dream into a reality, records were made and radio stations in the area, and even Australia, began broadcasting the Pop-Rock-Alternative band from Philadelphia known as Curtis Jr., a full squad which started it’s formation alongside Tom in the year 2012. You can now hear the band on major streaming platforms such as Spotify, iTunes, YouTube, and you can even ask Alexa for assistance in finding them. The many adventures of Tom Curtis Jr. and the band have only just begun with many new creations and ideas on the horizon. Tune in and spread the news because Sasquatch Funk is alive and well.
